		By merging technologies in the opto-semiconductor, optics, assembly, testing and measurement, Hamamatsu Photonics can now offer a full line-up of transmitter/receiver devices for optical communications. These are especially useful in optical fiber communications over short to long distances and at low to high speeds. Hamamatsu Photonics is hard at work developing next generation devices for optical communications.

High-speed Communication

Receiver devices for high-speed optical fiber communications such as telecommunications and data communications. Hamamatsu also provides various types of receivers with different speed and packages such as metal, pigtail, etc.

Optical Data Link

Transmitter/receiver devices for low to medium speed optical data links over short distances.

FSO (Free Space Optics)

Large area photodiodes and high power LED for spatial light transmission. Transmitter/receiver module for VICS (Vehicle Information and Communication System) is also available.

Optical Power and DWDM

These devices are used to monitor optical power or wavelengths of laser diodes or light traveling along an optical path.
