HAMAMATSU mini-spectrometers are polychromators integrated with optical elements , an image sensor and a circuit. Light to be measured is guided into the entrance port of through an optical fiber and the spectrum measured with the built-in image sensor is output from the USB port to a PC for data acquisition.
These mini-spectrometers employ CMOS or NMOS linear image sensor as a detector. They are well suited for spectrophotometry at relatively high light levels such as absorbance measurement and light source spectrum evaluation.
High sensitivity mini-spectrometers using a back-thinned CCD image sensor as the detector. Their sensitivity is about two orders of magnitude higher than mini-spectrometers using a CMOS or NMOS linear image sensor. This makes these mini-spectrometers ideal for low-light-level photometry such as fluorescence measurement.
Small size and low cost type (TG-NIR) and a cooled type which realizes low noise measurement are available. The cooled type includes TG-cooled NIR-Ⅰ having spectral response range to 1700 nm and TG-cooled NIR-Ⅱextending to 2200 nm (integrated with HAMAMATSU IR-enhanced InGaAs linear image sensor).
Spectrometer module with a built-in driver circuit and USB port (C9407MA) and OEM model and ultra-compact spectrometer head which size of 28 x 28 x 28 mm (C9409MA) are prepared.
