NanoZoomer Digital Pathology

NanoZoomer is the new pathology image scanner which changes the slide for pathology into a 3,600 million-pixel high resolution digital image at high speed. A pathology slide is expanded to an equivalent for 20 times or 40 time with the object lens of a microscope, and it digitizing in about 3 minutes (slide exchange is not included) by CCD. Moreover, since the automatic loader system is carried, it is possible to read the slide of about 210 sheets automatically. The application to broad fields, such as not only pathology diagnosis but effect, toxic evaluation, etc. of the drug discovery field, is expected.
