Notification Service of RoHS Compliance

In acknowledgement of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, which goes into effect on 1 July 2006, Hamamatsu Photonics K. K. has been including information on the RoHS compliance of its photoelectric components on sales quotes since April 2006.
With regard to RoHS non-compliant products, we recommend that customers first assess whether their application falls within the scope of the RoHS Directive before making a purchasing decision.
If you are interested in a product that is RoHS non-compliant, please note that efforts are currently underway to improve some of these products for future RoHS compliance. However, as such information may not be included on a sales quote at the time of its issuance, we ask that you contact your region's Hamamatsu Photonics sales office to determine whether particular products are scheduled for improvement. We can also advise you on the availability of alternative, RoHS-compliant products for your application.
