Pursuing answers to the riddles of life phenomena through bio-photonics

Tsukuba Research Laboratory

Tsukuba Research Laboratory

Since ancient times, light has been very closely involved in the advancement and progress of life forms. Given that, light plays a large role in solving the riddles that life presents. Life phenomena are fleeting events that take place in extremely short periods of time. Light is an effective tool for capturing these phenomena as images in order to analyze them. At the Tsukuba Research Laboratory, efforts are underway to apply our proprietary technologies such as faint-light measurement technology, high-speed spectrophotometry technology and image processing technology in order to delve deeply into the field of life sciences. These are what we at Hamamatsu Photonics call "bio-photonics".
