Opto-semiconductors have become a focus of attention because of their compact size, and because they can be readily mass-produced. Even before that, however, our Solid State Division had embarked on a course of research and development, using innovative methods. Through research in the properties that determine the performance of these semiconductors as optical devices, this division has achieved a broad lineup of products tailored specifically to meet customer needs. We take the essential elements required by our customers, covering a wide spectrum of fields ranging from medicine, science and other highly specialized areas to public and industrial ones, and combine them with the results of our research in order to propose original ideas to our customers.
