Where Do the Human Mind and Soul Come From?

Work underway at the PET Center

An especially fascinating theme in biofunction research is, "How is the soul created from the human mind?" How do organisms such as human beings learn, think, and communicate their needs to each other? What is the source of the intellect, creativity and emotions unique to human beings? At Hamamatsu Photonics, we believe that truly unique, innovative data can be obtained to reveal the essence of human spirit and behavior.
The Hamamatsu Photonics PET Center is a facility allowing joint research in various fields such as neurophysiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, neuroanatomy, molecular biology, cognitive science, computer science and philosophy to study the essence of the human mind and spirit. This kind of research imparts a deeper understanding of the value of humanity and can therefore contribute greatly to world peace.
